Auto Answer Phone: A major component of Skype Forwarder's strengths is its voice and touchtone driven telephone answering automation. When activated, your Skype status is used to decide whether or not to answer the phone, providing transparent call following in to your Skype extensions.
Input Idle: This is the time in seconds that Skype Forwarder will wait for a key press from the callers phone before it automatically disconnects the call. When the phone caller spends too much time choosing a menu item the call will be hung up.
Skype Status: Whenever and incoming phone call is detected, Skype Forwarder checks to see what your Skype status is and compares it against this setting. If the correct condition is not met, the call is ignored. Tip, if you check "Answer when Away", Skype Forwarder will answer the phone only when Skype detects you are away from your work station.
PBX Mode: This is the most straight forward use of Skype Forwarder. When an incoming call is detected and the decision to answer has been made, the phone caller is automatically switched to the internal Skype phone extension list. If this list has a single entry (for example the Skype account for your PDA) the call is automatically routed to this account without voice prompting. For this special case only, in the event the connection failed for some reason (for example your roaming account is offline), the call will be automatically switched to the TAM.
Remote Access: Like most TAMs (Telephone Answering Machines) Skype Forwarder will let you call in and; after entering a pass code, manage your voice mail or change the greeting message. Where Skype Forwarder is different is that it can also let you contact a Skype user through their extension using their extension number.
The basic commands available when navigating Skype Forwarder's voice menus are:
