You can protect the entire web site or individual shares
by indicating the entire server is "protected" or for individual shares as
well.
When you create a new name / password combination, the default
behavior is to set the expire date one year in advance of the current
date. You can change the expire date by selecting the new date from the
Expire Date control.
If a user attempts to connect to a protected resource they will be
challenged for a name and password. If the name and password are valid but
expired they will be refused entry.
You can add extra folders or entire logical drives to be
shared from this table as well as determine whether or not the share is
public or private. Also you can, if you decide to have public share from
the default share folder but wish to make a particular subfolder private.
For example you have a subfolder called private. Simply add a new shared
folder by pressing the Add button and label it share\private\ and map it
to the real folder on your computer.
